I worked until midnight last night and considering the fact that it was freezing, a weeknight, and that I had to be in the office this morning, the whole thing sucked yak balls.
Thanks to the efficiency of our transit system ( sarcasm intended) I arrived home much later then hoped for and sleep was not an option as I was famished and in need of a little soapy water. By the time I cooked, yes I was cooking at 12:45 a.m., washed crevices, brushed pearly whites and cleaned dishes; it was half past one.
Sleep seemed to have come as quickly as it was interrupted by the wailing wind which was knocking everything in earshot about. There was also a draft coming in from my poorly insulated windows did not help the situation. After much tossing and turning, I finally fell asleep. Then the dreams began.
I was perturbed that entire night by a string of disturbing dreams which were impossible to shake. I awoke the first time at six in the morning. I sat up for about 20 min and then fell asleep again.
You would think the dream stopped at that point, but that was not the case. For the next 2.5 hours every time that shut-eye came the dream picked up where it left off and they were causing quite the stir because I was ironically sweating bullets on one of the coldest nights this winter.
The dream(s) were crazy in that the antagonist consisted of prepubescent & teen acquaintances that I have not seen in well over 20 years. They were all grown and living in a setting that was a mixture of my Miami childhood neighborhoods and the Bronx. Everyone was plagued by inconsistency, confusion, sense of loss, suspicion, and an incessant need to taunt & screw with me.
I awoke to the buzzing of my alarm which I would have destroyed had I had a sledgehammer at hand and the luxury to buy a new one. I was tired, vexed, cold, sweating, and not in any way ready to greet Apollo. The circles under my eyes and the less than perky attitude are a testament to the less than favorable night I had.
Thank God for the ever energizing cup of Joe.

That thing that happened with your dream is soooo rare dude. So many times I wish I could fall back to sleep ,when a dream ended abruptly by my waking mind,to re join the dream and see where it progressed to. You ever wonder where those odd dreams come from, especially when they are spordic and include people who are totally not on your mind at the time?
T
he other morning I had a dream like at 5 am or so that freaked me the hell out, I was in a basement in my old Chelsea building. In my old bedroom in fact. I climbed up to my loft bed that my stepfather had built, laid there staring at the ceiling. My mother was at the door of the room, all of a sudden the ceiling and walls began slowly closing in on me forming a cement coffin around me if you will, to the point where the ceiling began to crush my head slowly. I could hear my skull begin to crack, I started screaming out loud mommy mommy! Then I woke up to the sound of my voice continuing to yell out for my mother in the natural plane of reality. Freekin scary mayun! Lol . There's a lot to be said about that one, i'll write it in my blog soon.
Some night u had pa! Enjoy the winter weather. lol
Hasta luego. Peace and God Bless
Sigmund Freud would have had a field day with us I suppose.
Dreams are a very weird and neat realm of reality. Interpreting them is difficult unless you’re a trained professional who can connect the lines between the past, present & subconscious.
I have actually always been able to continue my dreams were I left off, should they have been interrupted by the “P” factor or anything else that may rouse me. In fact, at times especially during the earlier a.m. hours I am often conscientious that what I am experiencing is in fact a dream and can at times navigate or direct the dream-script.
BTW, I always dream in color. I have heard my entire life that a majority of us dream in Black and white and the fact bewilders me as I have always been a Technicolor dreamer of sorts.
Question: Do any of you out there do the black and white thing?
I've never heard of that before (the black and white thing). My dreams are always realistic and I can feel everything as if I am actually awake and whatever is going on is an actual reality.
Sometimes I dream of things that are going to happen, and I totally look over the dream until the event actually has taken place; then I am brought back to my dream and start trippin. lol
I'm actually a Pre-Med major in College right now with an interest slightly in abnormal psychology, maybe one day I will write a book on dreams lol.
Have an awesome day, and don't forget to stop by my myspace blog and check out what I wrote about that dream.
Happy Friday Woo hoo!
