First Presbeterian Church 5th Ave.jpg

I had the opportunity today to shoot the First Presbyterian Church on Fifth Avenue after hours.

It was eerie and tranquil experience to sit on the black walnut pew alone with my camera during the wee hours of the night with not a single soul in sight.

The Gothic Revival building was designed by Joseph C. Wells and inspired by St. Saviour at Bath, England, and the crenellated central entrance tower on the Magdalen tower at Oxford.

The interior décor perfectly captured the spirit of Christmas. I was totally unprepared for the opportunity and wished I had a tripod at hand.

The picture shown was one of the better ones I was able to get considering the low amount of light available.
