Leave it to me to waste 45min of my time in a new foreign city standing and trying my hardest to find the eventful on an otherwise uneventful street corner.

Bicycles in Japan are an everyday way of life. They are everywhere and by the hundreds. Everyone rides them; from cycling suit clad executives to prepubescent school boys.

I attempted to capture Japan’s cycling spirit in the following set of pan-photography images.
