On Words: From One Friend to Another

XXXXXX,

For the sake of not elevating my level of hand-me-down stress and perhaps arriving at the threshold of not blowing a fuse, it was my intent to have just, from there on end, ignored you into oblivion. This was not due to an overall lack of compassion or tolerance on my part, but as a means of just not wanting to be placed in anymore odd situations. Mind you, I do take ownership of the happenings of some of the events because all energy even good one will often unbalance things a bit. I justify it all in that I believe or at least try and trick myself into believing that I posses a less myopic view life especially in the face of illogic nonsense.

Furthermore, I was also deeply confused, or rather; disillusioned to hear some of the things you may have said whence your alcohol level may have been an adequate enough to make things unclear. Words affect, deeply, especially when they are given via a second person and the listener’s imagination must create for them a reality they weren’t purview to. As I said before, words affect and it is important that we think wisely before we use them, to what purposes, and to what end results. Once they are said they do not just become a thing forgotten. They can often, like in the case of fiction, even come to be accepted and create truth, history, war, alliances, religion, legends or small men.

At times they linger, enslave us, control us, define us, haunt us and make us the men we oftentimes rather not be destined to be. I think you know what I mean and I hope that we both can agree on this. You once said that we would one day be great friends. Hopefully you are an individual of integrity and not just again saying things for the sake of monologue disguised as dialoged. I say this, because due to words, I ended up having a heated argument the other night which could have been prevented.

I thank you for your email and know that we both learned a lot from all of this.

Can destined men change their fate XXXXXX or do words really entrap us?

I believe it’s what we make of them and how we learn and rise from our shortcomings because the potential for greatness is in us all.

I hope you feel the same.

Yusef, I felt like I opened the door and two people were going at it. I was like what the hell...Let me get out of here, or a big whoops! wrong timing. I hope they get the message...sheesh

I had to remind myself the other day and I would like to share this with you and your readers: Life is way to short to be dealing with negativity. Why harvest it when it will only effect your life in the end? When you possess that ambition, drive and determination to make life worth living; of course there will be people who want to pull you down...there is no need to pay them any mind...we're too grown for this. People have and will always judge you (me) for the ambition that you possess because they lack it themselves.
We tend to forget that we take life for granted; seriously..life can be a lot worse for you, I, he or she...if you think about it. Don't let no one bring you down bro...don't confront those "hear-say" battles...why? that's giving into the dark side...

true words pizza boy.
too bad you can't follow your own advice.

Is someone going after the pizza boy? I hope they have a gun, the pizza boy is no easy target.

That was a good one "him".Obviously you don't know me but, if you do...you should know that I can't possibly want anymore satisfaction out of life then with what God has given me now...and that determination, persistence and drive I want out of life I share with my friends. Haters: They always will try to bring you down.
