Start of School Frustrations

| 11 Comments | No TrackBacks

I can’t begin to explain what frustrations the start of the school year is bringing and it has not even started. It seems like I am stuck in one long line after another. There are even lines to ask questions which will merely direct you to the proper line where they will be answered. Receiving financial aid as always proves to be a long drawn out bore. The online process requires days of waiting for student pins, processing periods, confirmations, and redirections back to real-time campus lines and yet further waiting.

I have to wait for booklists to be released and when they are finally announced, the bookstores explain that they are not yet stocked or ready to sell.

The photography class I signed up for requires that I own a manual 35mm camera. Damn it! What ever happened to the digital revolution? How the hell am I supposed to afford a camera? Even the used ones are expensive, by my broke-ass standards. It is all rather annoying.

There is the matter of the continuous stream of oh-so-yummy eye-candy. Gosh! What are these kids eating nowadays? Trust me, the last thing that I need is to further test my threshold of frustration. I have been single now for the longest period of time since I can honestly remember. My sex on demand days are now limited to the sporadic spurs of here-and-theres. I am tired at the wrist, contemplating the possibilities that I might auto-manipulate my self blind and all this visual stimulation isn’t helping. I feel like a f*ing ravenous cheetah during dry season on the Serengeti.

Then there is the yet-to-come factor. How the hell am I supposed to juggle a six day work week, four classes, high rent, and all the other little problems knocking at my door? I probably will end up with high blood pressure, bald, broke and blind before the end of the semester.

My ideal start of the semester’s school supply checklist:

(In no particular order)

-Books
-Camera (and equipment)
-Stress meds or a Yoga guru or an acupuncturist or a pound of grass
(or all of the above)
-A sex on demand cutie
-Affordable housing
-A time-machine
-That last cutie that just smiled at me…MMM

*Wink*...Bye guys

Yo - Congratulations on going back to school!! Good for you! I myself just got out of class (4 1/2hrs worth of Managerial Economics) the mental challenge that grad school, well in your case college, gives you is rewarding! Esp if, I believe, its courses that you want to take. In the short run, your going to have to adjust your priorities, in the long run think of the opportunities that will come from acquiring the knowledge. And yeah, it helps when there's a cutie in class-hellz yeah. Your right being single sucks - but, Prince Charming is out there somewhere? No? lol.

YOU CAN DO IT!

Yeah school frustration damn it!!!

Hey pa... oh yeah so it's like that huh?!? Putting me out there... hahahaha... Well pa cant wait to see ya in 2 weeks 4 sho!... *WINK*

I feel ya, went through most of the above when I was in college...& as far as the books & supplies go, it'll get worse every semester...keep your head up though, you got your motivation to get you through
