Greetings and good luck to you all, especially the phobic.
Unlucky number thirteen once again finds its way to a Friday. Everyone buys into it and at the first sign of the less favorable we immediately point fingers at the systematic twelve plus one that must at some point find its way to payday. Yes payday, what a great weekday to call unlucky. However, we must take into account all other mishaps that might come with the blessing of our earned income. The black cat that sluggishly crosses or path in the morning, or the garlic bunch that hung at your window to ward of vampires, which fell in your steaming hot coffee, causing it to splash and burn you, as you crept over the windowsill trying to spy trouble. You miss the train, lose a dollar, arrive at a way-too-long line at Starbucks, and at last arrive at work where you are condemned to a yearly 5 hours ethics training. (Poor Hiro) Some jerk gives you the finger. You missed last nights Lotto winning number by two digits, again. A falling satellite kills your grandmother resulting in a lifetime of free cable access from the apologetic executives. (Perhaps a good thing, depends on your grand ma) You were just almost able to secure a seat on the train, get a run in your stockings or gum stuck to your cloths, the dreaded parking ticket, subway delays, Okeechobee road traffic, and a host of the less desirable. The Triskaidekaphobia kicks in and thirteen is to blame.
If you have trouble getting past this most inhospitable of days there is a support group waiting for you at the corner above. The group, which is limited to the enrollment of thirteen, meets sharply at 13:00. The price is $13.13 for a thirteen minute session that no one ever seems to make ……alive.
I would love to hear the plight of the unlucky today. Please keep me posted on your unfortunate strokes of luck throughout the day and let us see if it really turns out to be as bad as it should.

Actually today was a pretty lucky day for me, Friday the 13th, is a day that is used to blame basic errors in life, things that may even happen on the 12th perhaps. I spent most of my day cleaning. On my way to the grocery store, I came across a $20 bill. Lucky for me, Un-Lucky for the person whom lost it. It may have meen unfortunate for the one that lost it. But now it's put into my savings. I see a word on this posting that i can't make out. Triskaideaphobia? Que es eso?
Triskaidekaphobia is the fear/ phobia of the number thirteen or any thing adding up to such. You can search the internet for more information and get some info on historic figures that suffered this Phobia.
Napoleon Bonaparte was one of them.
Triskaidekaphobia is Latin:
Triskai= 3 Deka= 10 Phobia= Fear
My day for the most part has been pretty good. I got to work early and had a lot of fun. I of course got paid and I made $200 in tips! That’s a pretty high number for a Friday lunch. It must have been due the lack of French tourist. I love their culture but they are absolutely horrid when it comes to tipping etiquette. -Paid of my cell phone bill, so I am not looking forward to any cut-offs or “interruption charges.” Let’s see what else…. I got off an hour early allowing me to get all of my errands done. When I got home I opened the mail box and found all three of my weekly Netflix rentals patiently awaiting my coming. Oh joy!
Unless, I happened to have picked up a flesh eating disease or Ebola along the way, the day has been quite jolly.
My name is Jason so you already know I hear it on Friday the 13th. My friends have been running that joke by me for years. Thank god I dont have any bad luck moments (knocking on wood as I type with one hand) as of yet. The day is almost over though.
Are you sure it was wood and not formica? You got to be sure.
Unfortunately my day ended horribly with me losing my phone so I guess it wasnt wood. lol. thanks yusef. just j/k
