The specials effects in this movie were amazing. I especially enjoyed the scenes on “Skull Island.” I felt the ending lagged on for a bit. Overall, I enjoyed the movie. They gave the oversized ape a touch of human like qualities that made you sympathize with him. This is despite the fact, of course, that you would have wanted him dead as well had you been in given situation. I mean, so what if he can appreciate beauty and learned to say it by tapping his chest! In case you missed it. He beat on his chest the entire length of the movie. Someone should teach him to understand, BAD MONKEY, and to control his temper. Another interesting fact was that there were no other gigantic apes on this island. Where the hell does a gigantic band of guerillas live and find enough vegetation to live on? The indigenous people were of course portrayed as violent savages, who’s idea of a mantel piece was a skull and the local witch sported a goatee. I wanted them all dead and rooted for their demise. This is an awful thing for someone considering Anthropology as a profession to say but it is the truth. They were wicked bloodthirsty little devils who needed to find Jesus. I meant to say, natives who were misunderstood.
Go watch the movie it’s neat but not spectacular.

I want your opinion on Brokeback
i agree......the effects were great but the movie dragged on too long.
Paco,
I cant wait to see Brokeback either. As soon as I do, I will post an entry. I hear that it is very good and that the girl (from Dawsons Creek) played an amazing role. 7 golden globe nominations for an idependent film, do not come about easily nor without merit. Keep an eye out for an entry this week.
I already saw Brokeback and I thought it was an awesome, powerful, moving movie that I dont want to see again any time soon because to this day thinking about some scenes makes my chest tighten.
Im just very curious to know what your opinion is on it, once you actually get to see it.
Paco,
I got a funny story for you. I was supposed to go see that movie maybe a week ago with my friend Alfredo. I never heard about it and told people at work that I was supposed to see "Bare Back Mountain" that day. Everyone laughed at me and asked if that was a gay porno or a joke. Everyone laughed at my expense for a while and then corrected the title for me and at last, I too laughed.
dont worry... i think every single gay person ive spoken 2 , when they first read the titles movie, thats what they read.
I still call it Bareback Mountain, shit. Thats how its supposed 2 be called.
