Very nice poem, well executed. Not many people do couplets well, but you have managed to rhyme without sacrificing the emotion or intent of the poem.
The third stanza reminds me of the lauryn hill unplugged album. Specifially, I am remindwed of the songs "Adam Lives In Theory" and "Mr. Intentional" - have you heard the album?

"Adam Lives In Theory" is one of my top 5 all time favorites. I play several times a week.
