Erotic Exotic

I headed out to the 25th New York International Orchid Show. It was hot! I'm talking about organic Bling-Bling ladies and gentleman. Believe it or not I found that there is something very “erotic”, about orchids. I couldn't put my finger on just why but I think it’s because they are so curvaceous. [Thinks: "hmmm, flowers with booty"] There were hundreds of different varieties from all around the world. The miniature orchids exhibts were by far, my favorite. I found just about every colored orchid possible, even green, with the disappointing exception of blue. You’ll want pictures of you taken in that backdrop so take a friend along who won’t mind snapping pictures of you by every other display you fancy.

It was a nice ride at a doable $5.00. I think everyone, even non-flower enthusiasts as I, should try and make the trip. The exhibit is open until the 17th.

A special thanks goes to my boy Hiro of, www.photo.nomeri.com,
for lending me the macro lens that made these pictures possible.

I walked a whole lot today: SoHo, Chinatown, Little Italy, Tribecca, and the City Hall area.
I took mad pictures, had some dim sum, bought some gear, and escaped the routine.
I wasn’t going anywhere in particular; I was just sort of following my feet.

Fate guided the way.

I made it out to Roosevelt Island today, equipped with a King Kong size lens. It was my hope to see some early Cherry Blossoms and as you can see I got lucky. Enjoy the scenery.
