This is what I felt like by the end of today.
I captured this gentlemen’s image using the mother of all lenses at Bryant Park. The man in the picture looked as if he had a bad tumble and his entire face is animated with emotion.
I like the details in the picture, the lines in his face, his black eye, his bruised eye-white, the texture of his weathered leather coat, the fuzziness of the towel etc. I also like that the background noise helps emphasize the subject
I notice how it feels as if his eyes are looking back at you and his facial expressions change depending on your focal point. I'm not sure if hes happy, sad, or indifferent.
I wonder what his story? Any suggestions?
he looks broken. i bet you he feels like HIS own world crashed in on the 4rth round and tried to test his spirit. he's weathered, but believe me, the guy's got experience. he's tough, cold... no heart on EITHER sleeve. but in no way is he throwing in the towel. he's got too much fight left in him. he's warning you to watch out for the 6th round...

I like the way he stands out from his background, which makes it seem as if he is walking out of his confused, blury life. I see why you liked this picture when you told me, I like it too.

Well, I finally made my way into your world, and im so glad that I did. I love the photo's; so expressive and yet so plain at the same time. Hmmm....He's not happy, not sad, I'll say he's spirited. He know's he's found a champion in you and your lens...someone and something to tell his story. He letting us know that we are all from the same planet and we are subject to all types of shit.
