This is what I felt like by the end of today.

I captured this gentlemen’s image using the mother of all lenses at Bryant Park. The man in the picture looked as if he had a bad tumble and his entire face is animated with emotion.
I like the details in the picture, the lines in his face, his black eye, his bruised eye-white, the texture of his weathered leather coat, the fuzziness of the towel etc. I also like that the background noise helps emphasize the subject
I notice how it feels as if his eyes are looking back at you and his facial expressions change depending on your focal point. I'm not sure if hes happy, sad, or indifferent.

I wonder what his story? Any suggestions?

In light of all of the morbid imagery that the image of the last horse received, I give you “Quicksilver”. (That’s what I named the picture) I like the feeling of movement that it evokes.

I captured this imagine using a slow shutter speed………………….enjoy.

After so many months of waiting, my new camera is finally here. I am so excited! I’m taking it out for a try around town tonight and just about every other night because this thing is going to be strapped around my neck for sometime. It’s a hell of an expense on my part but I have been waiting for its release for sometime. I did the math and found that if I use it everyday for a year its price would be about $2.46 per day, which makes it easier to not feel so guilty over its non-per-diem price tag. Anyway, braces yourselves for a bit of an amateur photographer phase.

Boxed in Boxers

I turned my back on the world and chilled home in my PJ’s since Sunday. I did absolutely nothing that required me catching a train or calling a cab. My phones were turned off and my screen name went M.I.A. It was a nice little escape and I gained a newfound respect for couch potatoes and pot heads alike. It takes an incredible will to sit and do absolutely nothing but watch TV for days. I failed at my social-umbilical cord severing intent and am heading out tonight for a relapse.
