Sometimes we get caught up in the process of hoping that others will see us as we see ourselves. We become hurt when they misinterpret or critique that image which we hold on to with so much tenacity. Important to remember is that in reality we all live in a world of realities or rather paintings, misconstrued by interpretation, biases, history, omissions, and recreation. No one is safe whether you see yourself as a postmodernist, drama queen extraordinaire, suffering the Picasso blue years or wild like Kandinsky. So hold fast to your image because it may very well be the only one out there. Paint your landscapes and abstracts and let the critics marvel at your art.
"Genuine freedom and liberation can only be achieved when our fundamental ignorance, our habitual misapprehension of the nature of reality, is totally overcome."
-The Dali Lama-
