Have you ever felt as if you had a relationship of duality with anyone?
Today my path was crossed with two old friends. One I love beyond measure and the other I deeply respect. They looked at me and we shared a look of recognition that one would provide to a familiar acquaintance and nothing more. A long time ago, I failed to be honest with one due to love and because of honesty was unable to love the other. Thus, there were no silly love songs nor the warmth provided by a shared bed, but a few days ago. The only thing present was the uncomfortable silence and feeling of awkwardness that one gets when a common space is shared in a similar situation. Perhaps we were all deceived by our false perception of the shared moment. I wished that they would have reacted with the fondness given behind closed doors; out of the sight of ourselves. Pride perhaps won the better part of us. The three of us lost.
"Those who sketch landscapes, place themselves down in the plain to consider the nature of mountains and high places, and to consider the nature of low places, place themselves high atop mountains. Similarly, to know well the nature of peoples one needs to be prince and to know well the nature of princes one needs to be of the people."
-Niccolo Machiavelli, the Prince
My day has sucked!
Today I am plain and simply, sick. It began with a slight fever late last night. I felt my eyes burning throughout the day. My body ached and I felt lethargic. The endless cross referencing and typing crap into Excel charts was driving me insane. The toilet by the way is not my friend. Today it is foe. {lol} The highlight of my day were the two steak soft shell tacos I got at a Tex-Mex (usually means Chinese owned in NYC) restaurant for $4.50. I guess that I figured, that if I already had diarrhea, I might as well eat the damn things. What a deliciously bad decision! I later went to the doctors and got some antibiotics. On my way there it began to rain. I carried no umbrella. Since I was a walk-in, I got to sit under the cold AC for about an hour and a half before the doctor saw me. I got home at about 8:30pm.
Other bad moments: I forgot to feed the cat and turtle. My favorite lead in a Spanish novela died. Teen Titans sucked. Iron Chef Japanese lost. My phone bill arrived.

if you was sick chulo i would make sure to take care you =) -wink-
