Last night after several months of recommendations from my local buddies, I made it a point to check this place out.

I was not at all, disappointed. The burgers were top notch. I devoured the Big Blue Bacon Ostrich Burger in a minute flat. Not because the portion was small, but because it was just that good.

Their fries are incredible! They cook them in peanut oil but can also whip them up in soy oil if you have allergies. What really put them over the top are the three unique homemade dipping sauces they offer: The chipotle was great and had nice cumin undertones, a tomato based curry sauce that was very flavorful and lastly the home mayo-based sauce with lots of black pepper that was also very good.

A had a chocolate milkshake which was rich, creamy and in my opinion a large enough portion for two which I nonetheless was somehow able to down on my own.

The service was prompt, attentive and very friendly.

Overall, I had a great meal.

However, a burger, fries, a shack, and a five dollar tip for one person at the cost of $30.00 is a bit expensive in my opinion.

I think that I have had burgers at Jean George's Mercer Kitchen in SoHo for less.

The great thing is that it is a newly discovered local jewel with quality comfort food and service, however the pricey cost might keep me from visiting it as often as I would now like to.

But, if the whole earth wise and organic movement makes you wet in the pants rather than mouth and you're earning 60k+ a year; this place should be included as one of your local weekend lunch top 3s.

This place is AMAZING! The staff is AMAZING and the GM Katherine is very attentive and has her eye on the floor 99.9 percent of the time.

It's been open for less then a month and I am already a regular hardcore fan! The chef is Greek but raised and went to culinary school in France. He is guaranteed to provide un moment de plaisir gourmand!

The Chef's lamb shank is beautifully cut and cleaned, braised to absolute perfection and nestled on a bed of vanilla bean mashed potatoes, which are the best damned 'taters I have ever had.

Top the night...with the crème brulè or have Matt whip you up a cocktail at the bar...

DON"T be cheap! Tip the servers well! They are great and I don't want them leaving my neighborhood and getting recruited my snobby digs in the city. Lets keep them local.

I just got home from Morocco's.

There were way too many people...fire hazard type of night.

I regretted having gone at first but the night turned out alright.

The line was ridiculous! At least a city block long. I am not used to waiting on lines and having to endure the weather and a 500-600 person line was not to my liking.

They screwed me with the guest list and later tried to screw me again by telling me my drink tickets were no good. (Thank you Romeo for intervening)

I had a shot of Henny, a cranberry vodka, and half a beer.

A bunch of my close buddies were there: Rudy (the man), Chris, William, Jose Medina, Marcos, Mike, Zairon, Anthony, Danny, Pito, Frankie, Sebastian, Romeo, Erick, Eddie...to name a few

(Basically people that mattered.)

Anyway, all I could think about was food my entire time there.

Everyone kept talking about McDonalds and although some chicken nuggets sounded really good, I really don't eat that fast-food crap and couldn't wait to get home and throw-down in the kitchen

This is how I roll at 6:45am:

4 eggs, mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes, red onions, grated pecorino romano, a drizzle of olive oil and a pinch of oregano, salt, pepper...

Virgin lemonade, Triscuits & adovocado on the side...

Mmmmmm.....Scrumptious! Now, it's time for bed.
